Hi,
I have had an itchy area of skin each side of my testicles for about 3 years now and it is not constant but does irratate me some times.I first noticed it not long after i started to shave them on a regular basis. There's no reddening of the skin unless i reall scratch them alot and they always seem to be a little worse when im in bed when im hot.
Thanks for any info you could give me

Hi,

This could be dermatitis , eczema or allergic skin reaction to some unknown substance.

Are you allergic to any specific substances? Have you taken any medications for the lesions?

You should keep the areas clean, use a powder to keep the areas dry , use calamine lotion at the sites. Oral antihistamine medications would help if the lesions are itchy.

Avoid shaving or using any cosmetic products at the site. Wear lose cofortable clothes preferably cotton and washed in chlorhexidine.

If your symptoms persist it would be best to consult a skin specialist because nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions.

Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.

Regards.

Hi thanks for the info. What do you mean by leasions? Because there is no marks on my testicles at all, the skin look's totally normal. The skin might get a bit red but that is only if i scratch it alot.Apart from that it look's normal.

Thanks again.

Hi,

By lesions I mean the redness which appears and disappears, as you have described in each of the posts.

It is likely that you may be having sweat dermatitis and you may be benefited by the advise in my previous posts.

Hope this helped. Let me know if you may need any more information.

Best regards
