my question is does this sound like pompholyx eczema to you? or something else?
first episode:
im not to sure on what my condition is exactly but ive had a similiar outbreak to what im having now but this time its is alot worst.. the first time was probably less than a year ago and was on the top of my right hand
below my middle kuckle and was about 1 1 1/2 inch circle that just started itchy with one little bump then grew into the size i said and had small blisters nothing big and went to doctor he didn't say anything and prescribed me some ointment cant remember the name was long ago and it went away...
my current problem:
this time it started as a little dot on my right hand
if i look at it it kinda looks like a bunch of small blisters but the past few days ive been working with my hands and its been getting bigger and painful when i move my finger because its in between the crevice and i cent bend it at all due to the blister.. last night i had to drain some of the puss out to relieve some pressure so i could bend it was getting very painfully if i even moved it a little but fells much better since i let some out all thte puss that came out was yellow .. i didnt want to drain all out didnt want to get a open sore it closed back up fine and is not pussing or draining even with pressure to the blister..i really dont fell anything much with it it itches sometimes but not liek it did in the begining i almost think it might be because the blisters but i still get itchy episodes but i dont scratch and it subsides fast for me..
my question is does this sound like pompholyx eczema to you? or somethng else?
Hello,
Pompholyx presents as itchy , small dry blisters on the palms and fingers rather than an oozing painful blister. It can be due to a bacterial skin infection or viral infection like herpes which can present as herpetic whitlow. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
I would get it checked out by a doctor....scabies forms blister like things between fingers and is highly contagious. Not saying that that is what it is, but if it is you are going to want to get treatment for it right away.
