Based on the image, this does not appear to involve the joints. The swelling seems to denote a skin inflammation which also appears superficial. There is redness or what seems to be a rash over the affected areas. Can you flex your fingers without difficulty?
This may be a case of contact dermatitis or an eczema. Are the affected areas itchy?
I suggest that you have this assessed by a dermatologist. The trigger has to be determined and you may need antihistamines for this. Do not use any abrasive cleansers .Use a mild moisturizer like Aveeno or vitamin E to keep the hand moist and supple.
If the symptoms persist you may need to have this further evaluated.
