Itchy fingers

I have recently have had a very itchy & slightly painful finger it is very red a little swollen at times, there looks to be very tiny blisters on it and obviously now with scratching its raw

This sounds like a case of dishydrotic eczema. This may be due to dishydrosis which may begin as an itch scratch cycle associated with clear vesicles on the fingers. These vesicles are covered by a thick membrane and may not readily pop. This is unlike herpetic whitlow caused by HSV type 1 infection that. There is no single treatment for dermatitic skin conditions. This may be chronic and recurrent. Avoid prolonged exposure to water. Apply vitamin E cream over the hands to moisturize the dry areas. As for the weeping and itchy areas, you may apply 1% hydrocortisone cream or 0.05% Fluocinonide cream over the area.
