Itchy legs. Scabies?

Since about November or December my legs have been extremely itchy.
I thought it was dry skin, but lotion is not working and it has gotten worse.
There are some little red bumps, but not in any  pattern.
They are just really really itchy
What could this be?

what you are discribing is symptoms of scabiesI have them too. They start out as little red bumps but  then starts to grow on you as you keep on scratching I got these symptoms after I came home from a night in Auckland staying in a motel that looked clean. beds were filled with bed bugs. It took my doctors 3 weeks to diagnose the ichtyness that wouldnt go away I am now heavely scared with black spots and only recently had to re douse myself with A- Scabies as they returned to finish the job of distroying my once beautiful skin if theres and easy way of removing these scars and distroying these horrible creatures please in desperation let me know.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be insect bites, dermatitis or scabies. Scabies is an infestation of the skin with the Sarcoptes scabiei mite. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
