This may be a case of balanitis. If you are uncircumcised, then balanitis may be a likely differential. Balanitis may not necessarily be sexually transmitted. Fungal infections and dermatitis may fall under balanitis. Wash the area with a mild cleanser and apply 1% hydrocortisone over the area thinly for 3 days. Do this twice daily and see if there is any improvement. If redness, urethral discharge and pain in urination appear, then cease the medication as you may need further evaluation.
thanks for the reponse. I am circumcised. If it is not sexually transmitted, why do I feel it after sexual intercourse? Some of the affected areas have become dry skin and I can peel them off. The affected area is from half of my penis to the head. Do you still think it is balanitis? Should my partner also get medication?
