Itchy red bump on one side of buttocks

Itchy red bump on one side of buttocks

I noticed one night some type of tingling on my buttock cheek followed by itching, followed by massive scratching, in my buttock area. That morning I awoke to see a small red bump or blister, with a triangular shape, a little less the size of a quarter, on my left buttock cheek. It lasted for about 3 days and it scabbed over and healed leaving a little faint scar. About three weeks later it came back less than an inch away from the original one. I have two cats and before this came about on me I noticed that one of my cats scratched herself on her neck so bad it became a scab. I am wondering if this could be scabies, herpes zoster, foccilitis, or what! Doesn't Herpes Zoster come in many sores or groups and not just one? I am a 29 year old female and I have a fiancee and we've been together 3 years. He has never gotten this and if I had Herpes Zoster wouldn't he get it too? I haven't felt sick at all during these episodes. I take a lot of baths also and I was wondering if I could get an infection for this reason. Please lend me your expertise.

Herpes can be latent (hiding) for extended periods before appearing.

It may be that your fianc
