Itchy red rash/bumps on groin and privates

Hi, I am an 19 year old male.  For atleast a month now I have been suffering from itchy skin that affects different areas including my legs, my arms, my chest and my back.  This problem has been nothing more than annoying, itchy skin.  But I have developed a more serious problem on my groin.  My upper thighs are also itchy, and for about 2-3 weeks have now been covered in red bumps that range in size from pimples to bug bits.  The large bumps have also appeared on my scrotum and my penis.  I have been using calamine lotion and hydrocortisone as an attempt to treat it, but have noticed little progress in healing the problem (only limiting the itchiness).  I don't believe it to be an STD as I have only had oral sex twice, and both times were too long ago to be connected to this problem.  I've attached some pictures incase they will help.

Hey, I posted all 3 photos on my profile since I could only post one on the original topic!

I'm not a doctor, but my boyfriend has had similar problems; bumps on his back, chest, inside of thighs, groin areas etc. When does it itch the most during the day? Do you have some bumps by your ankles, lower stomach, or in between your fingers?

It itches pretty much the same throughout the day, although ive been waking up a bit early every morning with itchiness that keeps me from falling back asleep. I do not have any bumps anywhere but the groin area so far.

Hello,

From the picture and symptoms,I feel that scabies needs to be ruled out.

Scabies is an infestation by the itch mite. Scabies produces small red bumps and blisters and affects specific areas of the body. Rash in scabies is usually found in the folds of skin and they are red blister like rashes.Yet they are very itchy and can disrupt life.

Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.

I suggest further evaluation from a dermatologist.

Hope it helps .Take care and pls do keep us posted in case you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
