Jock Itch?

About 3 months ago i woke up and my scrotum was very itchy and burning. It was also a fiery red color. The night before i had baseball practice and had to wear my "support". Although i make it a habbit to always wear a clean cup to practice after further inspection of my groin area i realized i had a few red spots on the right size of my thigh and a spot underneath my penis. Im not sexually active but ive heard horror stories of Jock itch so i immediately knew what this was. So ive used both Lotrimins and Lamisils jock itch creams since then and the red spots have faded and my scrotum no longer itches however my scrotum is still a fiery red color and has lost its elasticity. My scrotum also has two darkened dry spots on it now and im worried about what to do next. I no longer have health insurance and am unable to go see a doctor. So my question is what can i do to reduce the redness and get the elasticity back in my scrotum. or better yet what exactly do i have? Any feedback would be appreciated!

After 2 months on Lotrimins Anti-fungal cream the red spots have cleared along with any previous itching. The issue that remains is that my scrotum still isnt back to normal. It no longer regulates it's temperature and is at times dry. Its lost elasticity completely and im worried. My Are these new symptoms after jock itch has cleared? or are these also part of jock itch? so what should i do now?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The symptoms are more suggestive of jock itch only. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antifungal creams which you are applying are very effective. For the itching please take some over the counter antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
