Jock Itch

I have been diagnosed with jock itch several months ago... but it is getting worse and not better. I was wondering if there is a prescription anti-fungal cream that works well (I can call my OB and ask for it)?
He gave me a prescription (pill form) of Nizoral. Though I didn't really take it but a couple of days b/c I'm trying to conceive and this is a pretty dangerous drug.
So what are your recommendations for a prescription anti-fungal cream I could ask my OB to prescribe that would get rid of this jock itch?

Jock itch or 'Tinea cruris is best treated with antifungal drugs applied topically. Traditionally creams containing tolnaftate, clotrimazole or miconazole have been used, although newer agents such as butenafine are also used.
If the skin inflammation causes discomfort and itching, glucocorticoid steroids may be combined with the anti-fungal drug to help prevent further irritation due to the patient scratching the area. '
