Just a wonder

Just a wonder

So I recently had my yearly pap which was negative for HPV and normal results. I have high anxiety with doctors so I do what I have to do and leave. A few years a go I noticed a skin tag on the top of my groin area. So my question if I still have that one lone skin tag, and tested negative for HPV could it not be a genital wart. This growth happened along when I had no sexual activty for many years. Thanks

Hello,
It is difficult confirming anything without examination and investigations, but since the skin tag has been present for such a long time without any symptom and growth so chances of being it a genital wart are less. Moreover PAP test has come out negative. However if it grows in size and becomes cauliflower like, then the possibility of skin tag has to be evaluated.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
