bumps on the arms. Since I've found out about the condition, I've taken more of an interest in solving the problems caused by it.. with no success. I've tried exfoliating daily and different hair removal techniques but nothing has even seemed to help. Therefore, I thought of maybe covering it up with fake tan would work (I heard it does), however the dots just got darker and more visible (why is this?).
I'm aware there's no cure, but there must be something that might help? I'm considering using 20% Salicylic
the skin in shedding. I believe that the red dots are caused by hair clogged underneath, so surely this will help free them? Correct me if I'm wrong cause all this sounds too easy.
Hello,
There is currently no known cure for keratosis pilaris, however, there are effective treatments available which make its symptoms less apparent. Treatment includes tretinoin or Triamcinolone cream or Adapalene, a retinoid medication. Exfoliation, intensive moisturizing creams, creams and lotions containing alpha
hydroxy acids and urea may be used to temporarily improve the appearance and texture of affected skin.
