What is the over production of Keritin?

Hello,
The two main layers of skin are the epidermis (outer layer) and dermis (inner layer). The epidermis has several layers that contain four cell types. Keratinocytes is one kind of cells that produce keratin, a protein that gives skin its strength and flexibility and waterproofs the skin surface. When there is any overproduction of keratin then it can lead to many dermatological manifestations like keratosis pliaris.
