Large green skin around my cut

5 days ago I cut my leg on a fence. A long, not deep wound was created. I cleaned it out 22 hours later. Yesterday, I noticed that the cut is healing but there is a wide green area around cut. The green appears to be on the skin and not under it. What is going on? Do I have anything to be worried about?  Should I see a basic doctor at the hospital or a dermatologist?

Hello,
It is normal for a bruise or wound to change color from green to yellow.This is normal healing mechanism.Don’t worry about it and simply apply Neosporin or Mupirocin on the area.
