Laser Comb

I've read that the Laser Comb is FDA approved to grow hair.  Based on your experience is this a worthwhile product?

Thanks

Dear winger52,

Thank you for posting your query,

Laser comb is a new treatment. I have used it for some of my patients and have seen some good and promising results too.  Most of my patients (if not all) have given a favorable feedback. However, it  may not be effective in all patients as hair loss is multi factorial. Hair is a very complex organ and very sensitive to very slight changes in the body.   As for its safety, Hairmax laser comb is FDA approved and considered to be safe.

I would also like to mention that Hairmax is the only machine that has been cleared by the FDA. Many other companies have come up with their laser comb. It would be difficult for me to comment on their safety and efficacy.

So to answer your question, laser comb is effective but the response varies from patient to patient. The same is the case with medical therapy (finestride & minoxidil) for hair loss.

I personally prefer a combination therapy for most of my patients (medical as well as laser ).

Hope I have answered your query.
