I have not used one, but I know that doctors use lasers like the carbon dioxide or erbium lasers to remove lesions like those you are referring to.  Once again, you can't speak of lasers in the abstract--you need to ask about a specific one, and the person or persons to ask are the ones actually performing the procedure.
