Leg shaving problems.

Leg shaving problems.

I'm having a problem that when I shave my legs the hair ends just enough below the skin that I can't shave it, but it's still above the skin. I don't know what this is, can anyone help me overcome this? It looks really terrible.

Hello,
These ends of hair that remain in the skin can be due to ingrown hair. For this try shaving in one direction i.e in the direction of growth of hair. Then apply cold compresses(ice cubes wrapped in a towel) on the legs .You can also apply calamine lotion on the legs .It will help in soothing the skin.A mild corticosteroid cream like dermacort will also help.

Also you can go in for laser hair removal which causes permanent reduction of hair and does not cause folliculitis and ingrown hair also.Pls consult a good cosmetologist/dermatologist for that.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how  you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
