Lice

I think I have lice but I'm not sure. There are no living louse in my hair but I think there are nits. The funny thing is that they first showed up on the top of my head not behind my ears or on my neck. The other thing is that they are glued around the strands of my hair not just on them. I think they are nits because I can't just brush them out but yet a nit comb won't get them out. Is it lice or could it be something else?

hi.. i would suggest use an anti lice shampoo and then comb your hair... continue this for at least 4 weeks that will help.. lice attain maturity within 7 days and lay eggs .. the nits too hatch within 7 days.. so to get rid of them completely use an anti lice and immediate combing that too sunday to sunday for at least 4 sundays.. good luck..

Having three kids I have had to fight these buggers! They will show up any where they please. I have tried rid and combs with no luck. The combs don't remove them and can really be hard on your hair, same with rid. They are still alive after applying it. And agaain very hard on hair. What I use to do is get a huge bottle of sea breeze and apply it to dry hair and tie a grocery bag around the top of their heads, tieing the knot at their fore heads.  The bag was more for comfort due to the smell. lol very stong. keep on for like 15 min. do daily. My daughter has very kinky hair and this did not damage her hair. also you need to wash bedding daily in hot water and everything else you can. They are such a head ache to get rid of. Good luck!

Have you tried some lice cream? cor, it's making me itch now ha ha, you have common places for nits too be, at least you have clean hair! (: .. try the lotion and if it does not work first time, repeat after a week and then go to the doctors if that don't work x
