Lichen Planus?

Lichen Planus?

I would appreciate your opinion on a skin rash on the leg that I developed 2.5 years ago after a minor injury.
I was tentatively diagnosed with lichen planus, but local steroids improved the rash only marginally and temporarily.
Is there an e-mail address that I could forward a picture to, for your review?
This would be greatly appreciated.

Lichen planus is usually widespread and symmetrical, but it can occur in an area of trauma.  A picture, however, would not permit anything more than a guess.  The way to diagnose a rash like this is in person, not via the internet.  Your doctor (or another one, if you like) can consider using a different cream or else perhaps performing a skin biopsy.

Best.
