Lichen Scelerosus Diagnosis

I was diagnosed with lichen scelerosus  a month ago. No biopsy was done however. Is it common to have LS without having the typical white-patches? As well, how often does it affect the vaginal opening? I have some corticosteroid cream and that has seemed to help the symptoms so far, but in terms of turing the skin back to its original color it hasnt done anything yet. The skin of my inner labia is mostly still bright red and extremely dry. I was on oral steroids which had almost completely turned the skin back to its normal condition prior to the cream. Does this sound like LS to you?

Hello,
Lichen sclerosus presents as small white spots which are smooth and shiny. The skin on the patches becomes thin and crinkled. Then the skin tears easily, and bright red or purple bruises are common. Other symptoms are itching, discomfort, bleeding and blisters.

I suggest you to get the diagnosis confirmed after getting a biopsy done. I sincerely suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist and get it evaluated.  It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
