Lines on the palms of hands

My cousins new baby daughter was born with only one line on the palm of her hands.  Do you know what causes this?  Is this going to cause any problems for her or does is signal a greater problem?  Any information you have will be appreciated!  Thanks

Not to be funny, but do you eat a lot of carrots/make juice?  I found orange specks all over my arm for weeks that would come and go--I started to get scared.  Then, one day when I was peeling carrots over the sink, I realized it was spraying juice all over my arm and leaving it orange.  Other possibilities might be creams or lotions that you might be using.  Hope something helps,

Why are the lines on the palm of my hands and fingers orange? They have been this way about two months. I thought it was my dish soap but Ive switched since then and it has not changed anything. When I stretch my hands it becomes more apparent. Thanks...

It may be a normal variant, or possibly related to other birth anomalies.  I would rely on the baby's pediatrician to evaluate this.  No doubt he or she already has.

Best.
