Lip Rash

by Ky2009, Sep 24, 2009 06:27PM
I started using a lip plisher a few months ago and it was supposed to get rid of dry skin on the lips, but it did more than that. I began to notice that a rash was apearing on and below my lip line. There are a few little red bumps but I cannot figure out what it is or how to make it go away. I stopped using that products months ago and it wont go away... Help! My lips are hurt and chaped and pealing constantly.

Hello,
This sounds like contact dermatitis of the lips to the lip product that you were using. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rashes. If the symptoms persist then topical or oral steroids may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. Also Take some vitamin B for some days for the chapping and keep the lips well mositurised.

I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
