Lipoma Treatment?

Lipoma Treatment?

I have several lipomas on my arms, two being very unsightly. There is also a large one just below my sternum which occasionally feels sore because of its location. I found a treatment for lipomas on the internet and wonder if you have any information as to its efficacy. Calcarea Fluorica and Conium Maculetum are the recommended supplements. Many thanks for your reply.

Hello,
Unfortunately I am unaware of any such treatment for lipomas. Usually lipomas do not need any treatment unless they become painful or are cosmetically unpleasant. They are treated by simple excision  which is done under local anesthesia. Other treatment options are liposuction and injection of compounds that trigger lipolysis, such as steroids or phosphatidylcholine.

You should discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Many thanks for your reply. The cysts have already been diagnosed as lipomas. I was looking for options. I will ask my doctor about the injections you mentioned. Again, my thanks.

about 5 weeks ago I noted a round cystic feeling mass deep in my left inner thigh.  I squeezed thinking it would rupture internally.  Eventually it flattened and felt as if were then along a blood vessel which was encased by it.  Shortly after it grew quicly.  it seemed about 1 1/2 x 2 inches and connected maybe to muscle.  I went to an internal medice doctor.  She tied to I & D it.  A moderate amount of serosanguinous fluid came out.  She sent me to a surgeon.  He excised it under local.  The pat said necrotizing fat with giant cells.  The incision is still draining serosanguinous fluid.  Small hematoma forms under the skin and fluid is expressed when Ipress on it.  It will be 2 weeks post excision tomorrow.  I saw the surgeon 3 days ago.  He quickly eyed it.  He said not to worry.  Should I be?
