Liquid nitrogen may also be used to remove lichenoid keratosis

If you have experince please advise... I have Liquid lichenoid keratosis spot on my upper lip. I know this because it was removed and sent in for testing. Bad new, it came back. My dermatologist used Liquid nitrogen to remove lichenoid keratosis. Now, I had it done last Wednesday. Little short of a week ago. It still looks red and kind of there. It peeled etc. Maybe it will peel again?  My question is, how long does it take for this to heal? The reddness go away? Is it still there? I need advise please. I was told the sun may have triggered it to come back. Should I have a plastic surgent remove it? Each time they shoot it with the liquid nitrogen, it takes a while to heal... This is driving me crazy..

I have been to the derms office now twice for the same problem. It keeps comig back...

Please email me ay advise at

Hello,
Lichenoid keratosis is a cutaneous condition characterized by brown to red maculopapular lesion on the sun exposed areas. Although cryosurgery using liquid nitrogen is routinely done but electrosurgery or curettage can also be performed in recurrent lesions. Please discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
