Little bump

Hi, I have a small bump that is the same color as my lip, on the top outside of my lip.  Its been months and hasnt gone away.  I could pick at it and it would be red and sore for a few days like no skin was on that spot, or it sometimes could get dry and flake off.  It looks like rised skin on my lip, and If I dont pick at it its not sore at all.  Any ideas what it may be or how to get ride of it?  Thanks for all your help!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be a cyst or a plain wart. Generally no treatment is required for a cyst but they become painful then it means they are infected, then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required. My sincere advice is to consult a dermatologist.
Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

I have something similar that happens every so often.

Does it dry out and leave a think white flaky crust after?

It's driving me crazy!
