Little red dots on pinky finger

Little red dots on pinky finger

I have noticed recently that I have these two little tiny red dots on my pinky finger of my right hand (On the palm side of the finger.  Both are bright red in color.  Just tiny little red dots.  Looks sort of like I was poked there maybe by something in a way.  The one is slightly raised but the other isn't.  But I have had these for at least a month and they are not doing anything (not getting bigger or smaller).  They don't hurt in any way I just was curious about them.

I have been diagnose with rosacea before.  Also, I have occasionally had little clear fluid filled bumps on the palms of my hands.

My fingers do tend to be a bit pinkish in color compared to the rest of my skin and a bit cold.  Don't know if this helps.

Hello,
The first possibility that needs to be ruled out is of peripheral vascular disease and Raynaud’s disease. The bumps on the palms can be due to pompholyx. Pompholyx primarily involves the hands and fingers and then may involve the feet. The first stage is acute and presents as itchy blisters on the hands, fingers and toes. Then the chronic stage shows more peeling, cracking, or crusting. Then the skin heals up, or the blistering may start again. The exact cause is not known and excessive sweating can be one of the reasons.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

It could have been that the clear bumps are due to that "pompholyx".

What has helped in part with rosacea, etc. is switching soaps.  I did have patch testing done previously that confirmed I was allergic to nickel and cocamidopropyl betaine.  Since switching soaps and shampoos to non-cocamidopropyl betaine varieties it seems like the clear bumps went away... The clear bumps did seem to be associated with my hands getting dry and cracking, plus they appeared on the feet too.  I haven't had those "bumps though in a long time.   As for these two tiny pinprick like bumps... They don't itch or hurt or anything.  Just weird little dots.

I'm now starting to be more concerned about my health.  I'm also currently seeing a specialist about my lungs as I have a chronic cough with phlegm production.  It seems to be coming from the lungs.  I do get wheezy and have a little bit of breathlessness sometimes and get occasional chest pain on the left side.  Chest x-rays in the last year since getting this cough (after a suspected case of H1N1 followed by a "chest infection" in the left side of my chest - lower lung lobe) have all been clear. A ct-scan showed minor signs of infection (tree-in-bud anomaly). But my lungs seem to be functioning fine.  Now the specialist is concerned about blood clots (because a d-dimer test in Nov of last year when I was at the ER because of the infection plus an allergic reaction to an antibiotic was weakly positive).  So I'm waiting to go get a nuclear medicine test and a more specific asthma test plus skin ***** allergy testing done.

My family doctor seems sort of useless to me... its like i have to tell him what I want him to do... he's the doctor not me.  The specialist seems to be much better.  He wants to run a bunch of tests to rule things out.

I haven't had a fever related to the cough.  No night sweats either.  Ugh this is frustrating and I hope to eventually get some answers.

I say my lungs seem to be functioning fine because my lung function test results were really good.
