Lumps under skin following removal of Lobular hyplasia

by Athena508, Aug 29, 2009 04:55PM
About 5 yrs ago., I had a mass removed from my left breast, that had been diagnosed as lobular hyplasia. Even before that, I had a very painful lump close to my chest wall. It never showed up on mammograms or ultrasound. No explanation has been given. Now, I have more painful lumps, throughout the breast that was operated on, and now in my left arm.

Recently (x 2 mos.) I noticed swelling around the elbow on that arm. I also have arthritis (x 3 yrs) and have heard that that can cause painful lumps throughout the body. But could it be metastatic cancer, if the hyperplasia turned into cancer? I know it has a higher rate of doing so. Every time a doctor checks it, they tell me "not to worry", that it's either fibrocystic breast condition, or the result of menopause (I'm 56).

The pain, however, is driving me NUTS...and now I'm worried since there are more lumps!
