MARTIKADRAGOON your CL was in hospital

Hello everyone,

My name is Sandi (Dragon1973) and I am the Community Leader for a few other forums here on MedHelp. Your Community Leader Martikadragoon (Cindie) was in hospital for the last few weeks.  She was in a Coma and it was originally determined that she would not pull out of it and would with out severe brain damage if she did.  No one including herself was aware she was even sick.  She was on a respirator and unable to respond to stimulus.

A few days later, her mother posted a message on another forum that we both use.  She indicated that Martikadragoon was doing better and had been taken off life support.  She was conscious and responding to her mother.  Her mother had asked for prayers, and it seems that they worked.  She is now home recovering and back to be her normal self.  She has had some loss of feeling in her left side, which has now lessened to her fingers and subsequently she can not type 100% yet.  
She will be back, but we need to give her the time to recover.  She is home with her family and is getting better day by day.  She defied the odds, and proved to the doctors that she could beat it and she did.

Please help me in sending your well wishes to her.  Every little bit of warm wishes are sure to help.

Martikadragoon and I have been friends for a while and I am honoured that I can still call her my friend.

thanks so much. please excuse anytypos as my pinky fingers are completely numb from what I went through.
I was in the coma for 8 days, and when I woke up it was like I'd had a good nights sleep :)
I'm able to walk with a walker. Plz keep me in your prayers, I'm grateful for them that you and everyone sent for us;

I'll be back regular in a week or two

All the best wishes for a wonderful recovery, we are all used to giving advise, and it may be hard to be on the other side and take advice..do what ever the docs tell you, I did not after one surgery and it was a big mistake.

Ladies - please send Cindie all of your prayers and positive thoughts.  She is back in the hospital.  Here is the latest update from her mom:  "Ok everyone, I need you all back in prayer, Cindie was taken to the ER this morning for having a Seizure, then once she arrived she had another one. Right now Cindie's really scared right now because this means that there was obviously brain damage from when she was in the Coma. They have her on meds but she still needs lots of prayer."

FURTHER UPDATE:

I spoke to Cindie a few days ago while she was in the hospital (the day her mom posted the update about her two grand Mal seizures).  She is fine, but had a few scares.  She was worried but the doctors are running tests to determine if the seizures are from the coma or if they are from something that was undiagnosed previous to the comas.  She told me that the doctors wanted her to stay over night, to watch her and that they adjusted her medications.  If all went well, she was to be sent home.

Please Please keep your thoughts and prayers going, she's a tough girl who has been beating the odds.
