Male Yeast Infection

My wife has had a yeast infection for the last three weeks that she has been treating. A week and half ago after we had unprotected sex (I never showered or cleaned my penis after we had sex) I woke up the next morning and had a dry and flaky penis shaft. 2 days later it was fine. Then Same thing happend a couple days later after having sex (i never showered or cleaned my penis after sex) I woke up and noticed the same thing. So I do some internet research and come to the conclusion that I have a male yeast infection. I had a Dr. appointment yesterday afternoon. He told me to pick up some lotrimin. He also had me do a blood test for HIV, clamedia, gohneria, and a few others. At the time I didn't think much of it. Until I got home and started to do some more internet research. Then I read how men with HIV are much more prone to getting a yeast infection because of a weak imune system. If I have gotten a male yeast infection after having sex with my wife who has a yeast infection is the most probable reason I got one because I could be infected with HIV? Please help I am sick to my stomach waiting on the results of my blood work.
