Many (hundreds) of Cherry Angiomas

Hello Doc,

During the last 3 years (38 to 41) I have developed many Cherry Angiomas (hundreds - all sizes). They are all over my arms, legs, and trunk. I have gone to see 2 GP doctors and 2 Derm.s. They have taken many tests, (liver, AIDS, CBC, thyroid, sed-rate, ANCA - for Lupus, etc.) Everything has come back negative. Yet, I continue to get these bright red Cherry Angiomas. All the doctors say to forget about them it is probably inherited. However, they look terrible, I'm covered with them.

What could this be? Otherwise feel fine.

tks,
Larry

These are hereditary.  Some people do get a lot of them.  They have no significance beyond appearance.  They're pretty easy to remove by electric needle cautery or laser.  It's considered cosmetic (non-insured) work, but it shouldn't be too expensive, if they bother you enough to make the effort worthwhile.

Best.
