Maybe warts?

by nilo81, Feb 22, 2005 12:00AM
I recently developed some spots on my penis.  The largest ones are smaller than pea size.  They are totally flat, not raised at all (you cannot feel them at all when you run your finger across them).  I have read that genital warts can be flat.  They are a little darker than the normal skin.  I went to an STD clinic and the nurse told me that they were absolutely positively not warts, just a pigment change.  I just have to be sure.  Also, the head of my penis looks cracked or wrinkled sometimes.  If it is a pigmentation problem, what is that called and where can I learn more about it.  I am still pretty worried about this and your help is very appreciated.  Thank you.

I can't really tell you for sure without seeing these, of course, but a nurse at an STD clinic would certainly know what warts look like.  Also, warts are usually raised, at least a little bit.  If you need more reassurance, I advise you to see a dermatologist.  It's more than likely, by the way, that the "wrinkled" appearance of your penis is just what that part of the body looks like only you've been concerned about the area and are looking harder than usual.

Take care.
