Hi I'm Temo and I need a little help with something. For a while now my girlfriend has an some Anal fissures and we've tried a couple things to get rid of them. And I heard somewhere that you can use Gold Bond powder to help get rid of them and I was wondering if that is safe for female use and if it even works.
If lifestyle and self-care measures such as adding more fiber to your diet, drinking more water, getting regular exercise, and taking a stool softener or occasional laxative aren't effective, your doctor may recommend the following nonsurgical treatments:
Medicated creams or suppositories, local application of nitroglycerin or botulinum.
Surgery usually involves cutting a portion of the anal sphincter muscle to reduce spasm and pain and promote healing. Surgery may also include removal of the fissure and any scar tissue resulting from it.
