Melanonychia

by fenrus, Jun 07, 2001 12:00AM
Thank you answering my previous question.

I have but one more, can Melanonychia be cured? Basically, I have one nail with two vertical bands running down that are graphite in colour with another nail on my other hand beginning to develop a dark line of its own.

I'm just wondering from a cosmetic point of view, can this be reversed? What what the usual treatments consist of?

Thanks.

No treatmenst work that I know of.  All one can do is camouflage it (i.e. nail polish), though few do this.

Best.

Homeopathic remedies  can cure this problem, though may be prescribed by a licensed certified homeopath only.
For disciolored nails homeopaths usually prescribe Graphites 12X, Nitric Acid 12x, 4 pellets a day up to 2 months.
