Mites. Bird, dust, and any other type

This is not a question but a post with information for any people affected with mite infestation. First off I don't know if it can be remedied. I admit that this will depend on the severity of the infestation. I caught them a four years ago and was able to rid myself of them within a week or two. But two years ago I took a used mattress from freecycle. I kept it for several months. Eventually I threw it away. The damage was already done though. Two years later the mites affect my entire life. They have infested my girlfriend's home but she is immune to them. I have used windex, a cedar oil fogger, and dryer sheets with the best success. I have slept on an air mattress for a year and a half. I have used a towel for a pillow for over a year. I wash my bedding daily. Sometimes all day long. This is just so I can sleep without trouble. I have read articles from people who claim to have beaten them. In my case they have spread to my girlfriend's and my mom's house and I get reinfected when I visit either. This makes it difficult to shake them. For me there has been no magic bullet. Cedar oil costs $120 per gallon. My fogger cost me $150. A gallon of windex costs $10 and dryer sheets are around $10. I go through a lot of all of these things. My washer runs all days many days. Fans are also running often to remove the fumes from the windex and the cedar oil. This all began for lack of money which made me take the freecycle mattress. If I were wealthy I would escape them or at least decrease the amount of stress that the place upon me. Thank you. I hope that this helps. Sorry if you have them.
