2 years ago and it first was tiny and black, but it seemed to increase in size in the later months. Then, I decided I couldn't deal with it anymore. I had to remove it, so without thinking it through, I used tweezers and tried to pull the skin off where the mole was. What resulted was pain and bleeding. I managed to get about 90% of the mole off, but then there was still this brown part left.
What resulted in my desperate teenage attempt to remove my own mole was what I have currently. It's not as black in color as originally. It is now a lighter brownish shade, but it's not perfectly circular (due to the fact it healed this way after I unsuccessfully tried removing it). I was wondering... after reading many articles on irregular shapes moles, I'm scared half to death. Would you tell me if this is something to be worried about?
First of all, a mol cannot be removed just by pulling it off.You will only be inviting infections this way.The symptoms that you have described like rapid growth in the recent times and its irregularity in shape puts the diagnosis of a mole in a dicey situation. It can be a melanoma. But the confirmation can only be done after a skin biopsy.
I would suggest a dermatologist’s opinion for the biopsy.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.
