Mole on my boyfriends face

Hi, my boyfriend has had a mole on the side of his face for as long as he can remember but about a year ago it started to bleed and was like that for a couple of weeks then it got bigger and changed colour it then stoped bleeding but ever couple of weeks it starts again and the only way i can describe what it is like, is its like a spot with a head on it gets bigger the pops then it starts bleeding and it is like that for days he doesnt have to touch it and it starts bleeding, i have told him to go and see his doctor but he wont i am so affraid that it is cancer but he says its nothing as it has been like that for over a year what do you think.

It may just be a mole that got irritated, but there's no way to know for sure unless a doctor takes a look.  I recommend that you encourage him to do that.  Once he finds out that it's no problem, he can leave it there and forget about it.

My husband had the same sort of thing, it turned out to be a Basal Cell and he had to have a plastic surgeon remove it. I would make sure he has it removed and then he wont have any more trouble. He will be glad he did, my husband put it off for a LONG time before he finally got it taken care of.
