Mole or wart?

Hi I have had a brown "mole" on my stomach for as long as i can remember, its been over 7 years and i always though it was pretty normal, it sticks out a bit but other than that it looks like a mole its not rough or anything. I went to the doctors about asking to get it removed beacause its not the most attractive thing in the world and she was like it's a wart.............i've had a wart before and they tend to be rough and skin coloured and they dont tend to stay forever, also i know they are contagious but since ive had this on on my stomach i havent had any appear anywhere else. I tried to remove it by using home freezing things, duck tape etc etc but its still exactly the same! I've read on these websites that you should file them but my "mole/wart" hurts and i can feel pain if i pinch it or file it, so does that mean its a mole or just a weird dark brown wart or is it something else? I'd really love to know what on earth it is as the doctors arent willing to do anything about it! If anyone has anything simular it will be vry helpful. Also apparently you can't get warts on your stumach either so i'm officially confused.
I am a very moley person and lots of freckles and different types of moles all over me.

Given your age and symptoms, it can be a mole. Chances are less likely that it is a wart but the exact diagnosis can only be confirmed after a biopsy skin. However whenever there is pain or tenderness in a mole or a wart, it should always be evaluated.
