Molluscum, cysts or other?

by ben67, Feb 14, 2003 12:00AM
i have a group of skin colored bumps at the base of the shaft of my penis also...(which i didn't notice before) but i was wondering if its possible to have cysts further up the shaft? i have some scattered bumps mainly up the underside of my shaft. they are small (pin size to 2 mm) and flesh colored and i have to pretty much stretch the skin to see them and they seem to be under the skin not on top of it. although i don't have a magnifying glass i swear i can see a little black dot in a few but not all of them.

i have recently been to a dermatologist for a groin (under the scrotum and on thigh) rash that i was told wasn't molluscum but he didn't look at the spots on my shaft.

should i refrain from sexual contact?

The spots you describe, including the ones you have to stretch the skin to see, are almost certainly cysts, just like the others.  Your doctor could not have failed to notice mollusca warts on the penis, even if his attention was directed manly to your thighs.  I woulldn't be concerned.

Take care.
