Molluscum or something else

Molluscum or something else

I am a 19 year old college student and have been sexual active for a year. I have been tested for STDs and the tests have come back negative and the doctor also gave me a physical exam and said there was nothing to be concerned about and it was perhaps irratation or a molluscum. That being said.

I have a bump on the under right side of my penis that has been there for about a month and it has become very distracting. It started out a redish/pinkish bump with a single hair coming out of the middle. I then pulled the hair and hoped it would go away. To my dismay it is still there. I then did something stupid and started poking at it. Eventually I was able to force out a small white core (it was rather short no more then a couple of milimeters and looked like a cylinder) and felt rather slick and waxy. Not like a the pus that would come out of a pimple. After I was able to force out that white core the skin around it (in an isolated area) became red and inflamed. Now it has come to look like a cut and began to scab/crust over, although the skin around it is still red/inflammed. In addition there is something below it that feels like a bump under the skin. There hasn't been no pain associated with this bump or the one I can feel under it. Unless of course I poke at it. I am also rather fair skinned and have had a history of ingrown hairs with both myself and in my father. I am concerned that it could be herpes or something else. Thank you for your response.

I think you have a cyst--cysts look and act exactly as you describe.  Please leave it alone so it heals to a point where it's recognizable as such, then consult a doctor who knows enough about the genitals to be able to tell the difference between irritation and molluscum (which have as much in common as apples and elephants).  Once diagnosed, the cyst is best left alone.

Best.

Molluscum warts will bleed ( a lot ) when you pull out the core,  don't know if this helps or not.

also, by any chance it is Molluscum, if you are messing with it, make sure you have sterilized the area completely,  like dabbing with alcohol or iodine, because if you expose the core, which is the most contagious part,  you can spread it to other areas of your skin if you touch yourself.
