Molluscum

I was told recently that I did NOT have impetigo, but actually had molluscum. The Dr. took a slice of the growth on my face and it was definitely molluscum. What are the best treatments for this condition? I've read so many things and my Dr. appears to be clueless as to exactly what to do. He's a great guy, but just not sure where to go next.

Hi I had Molluscum. They put a topic that creates blisters around them and then the blisters fall with the molluscum inside. When I heard it because my case was all over my belly and sides of torso I though it was brilliant. but it really irritated my skin and it didn't work. Then I went to the doctor and I told him that it's ruining my life because I do a lot of swimming and water sports so I wanted to get rid of it as fast as possible. He said that with all treatments like freezing for example there is a high chance of them coming back or not fall. The fasted and less possibility of them coming back is to to scrape them off with this tiny spoon.
It's minor surgery. I had it and now it's gone. It hurts like hell.
The Doctors will probably bribe you into doing the blister thing so you keep coming back and they get more money.
My Doctor did it so we then went to the best Dermatologist in Hong Kong and I never had to come back

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

Molluscum infection may readily be transmitted through direct skin to skin contact. The virus resides superficially within the bumps. If the bumps are removed then virus is also removed. As this is readily transmitted, physicians may opt for freezing and curettage of the bumps. This will remove the bumps and the virus as well. The molluscum virus unlike  HPV do not stay within skin cells. The white cheesy material within the bump comprises the virus.
