Moluscum

by juliana2009, Jun 25, 2009 09:13AM
My Baby is almost 3 and we see this reaction on her skin when she was 1 year and half, when she put almost everithing in her mouth. We wait almost one year, moluscum (molluscum) spred from round mouth to chest and belly. Now, we are under the treatment with nitrogen - 2 appointment allready for belly and chest areea. We are better now, but under the chin, still are some and I wander how those will be treated?
The dermotology give us a crem to used like one time per week, for face and under the chin, but I do not see any evects (in 2 weeks).
How is molsucum treated for sensitive zone on the toodler body like face or under the chin?
Thank you!

Mollusum is self limiting, and nothing really needed to be done other than to wait and watch it go.

Thank you so much.

I'm worried because in the begining it was just around the mouth and in half of the year went till the belly. So, it was not stopped it spread down on the bopdy. Now we treat the belly and the cest with Nitrogen(I think...by a dermatolog)..the reaction was pretty agresive the next day.
It may spread again thos under the chin? They are few...not to ingnore!
Is any cream to useee?

Please let me know.
And I thank you so much for your time and attention.

Best to cover the baby from getting mosquito bites.apply calamine Severe types may need hydrocortisone application.
