My child's skin

My 20 month old has bumps comin up her face arms and legs that itch her like crazy and seems like every day she has new ones.. Her pediatrician says it's insect bites but she wakes up with new ones and she comes home from daycare with new ones, she gets em all during the day and nite and it's leaving scars on her and she has trouble sleeping from itching at night. This has been goin on for months and i have taken her back to her dr. time and again and he just keeps saying it is insect bites of some kind. I have used just about every kind of antibitic and allergy cream you can think of, it helps but doesn't stop it. Any idea what this could be??

Hello,
Since your child stays in the daycare, so it is important to rule out scabies. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.
Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any other queries.
