My hands are peeling

Posted by Curtis on August 09, 1999 at 14:58:41
The skin on my hands are peeling. No matter what lotion I use it dosn't seem to help. Lotions for dry skin, almond oil, just dont seem to do any good.
The problem seems to be only on my hands. I am a salesman so as far as handling any material, There isn't anything I can think of to be a cause of this.
What is the best treatment for dry hands
Thank you for this great forum

Glad you like the Forum!
There's usually no specific cause for dry skin.  I gather you don;t wash your hands too often or use harsh solvents.
There are many good moisturizers.  In general, the heavier the better for hads.  Examples: petroleum jelly, aquaphor ointment, Eucerin cream, Bag Balm.  If these are too greasy, try a light lotion, of which there are many.  All are over-the-counter.
Best.
