My vagina is red, sore and itchy

Hi, im 13 and ive had sex with my boyfriend quite a few times without a condom. recently we had sex without a condom and lube, and there was a bit too much friction so we stopped after a short time and used lube. from the next day its been hurting when i pee around that area and my vagina is red, sore and itchy.
What could be the problem and how can i treat it?
What's a yeast infection, how can you get it and how do you fix it?

Please help!

the post is old now, for other people this is thrush, but always consult a doctor, don't be shy, they have seen and heard it all, also it is confidential!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

Itchy vagina can be due to a number of causes. First of all it can be due to allergic reaction or contact dermatitis to your undergarments, sanitary napkins or tampons, soaps etc. There is no change in the colour or smell of discharge in this case. Secondly, It can be due to STD’s like Chlamydia or thrush, candidiasis, trichomoniasis and thirdly it can be due to vaginosis or vaginitis.Lastly it can be due to skin conditions like eczema, sweat dermatitis, hives etc.

Vaginal yeast infections occur when new yeast is introduced into the vaginal area by sexual contact, or when there is an increase in the quantity of yeast already present in the vagina relative to the quantity of normal bacteria. Treatment includes topical administration of antifungal drugs such as clotrimazole (Femizole-7), miconazole (Monistat-Derm, Monistat Vaginal), nystatin, tioconazole (Vagistat Vaginal), or oral administration of drugs such as fluconazole (Diflucan) and amphotericin B.

Wear cotton underwears and change them twice daily. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. You can use any of the vaginal pessaries mentioned above. If the symptoms persist then pls consult  a gynecologist.

I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
