Mysterious sexual intercourse rash

Mysterious sexual intercourse rash

After having unprotected sex with a woman, my scrotum began to turn splotchy red and itch profusely. The girl has since exhibited no signs of an STI/STD and claims to have had no symptoms prior to sex. It has now been a week and the redness has healed in places, moved to others, and moved back into places previously healed. It has not spread to my penis, anus, or thighs. The itching has become excruciating at times and I need to do something, unfortunately I'm currently residing in a foreign country and would likely receive poor medical advice from local doctors. Any insight into this matter would be wonderful.

It sounds like you have jock itch. Women have the other side of it called vaginal yeast infection. When a woman has vaginal yeast infections she treats it by going to the doctor if it is the first one she's ever had, or if she's had it before and knows how to 'spot' one then she uses over the counter medication to treat it within a week.

My suggestion to you is since it sounds like you have jock itch, I would get some Clotrimazole. It's over the counter and Dollar Stores have them for about $2. The Lotrimin is probably better though for you if you've had any issues with generic applications in the past. Lotrimin and Clotrimazole are the same, just Clotrimazole is cheaper. It helps get rid of jock itch and it may not be as embarrasing for you to buy.

If you never had jock itch before, Clotrimazole and Lotrimin are both topical lotions. You wash the area infected before applying the cream on the infected areas. This is an anti-fungal lotion and it cures mosts athlete's foot, relieves itching and burning, it's greaseless, and non-staining. The back of the box says the uses are to cure athletes foot, jock itch, and ringworm.  Relieves the itching, irritation, redness, scaling, and discomfort which can accompany these conditions.

To cure your jock itch with one or the other product, apply it twice a day (morning and evening). Make sure the longest time you'll have it on there is while you're in bed. To prevent it from reoccuring you also need to tell your sex partner that she needs to get treated for vaginal yeast infection so you won't keep passing it back and forth.

My husband and I have been through the same thing. Once we treat ourselves we don't get another incident for a while. I suggest looking up jock itch on Google for more information. Best of luck.
