My 5 year old daughter has had a slight cough for about two weeks and a rash that comes and goes with welts, is hot to the touch but not itchy or painful. When I took her to the pediatrician they said it was fifth disease after a for minute look over. My problem with this diagnosis is that the rash isn't lacy in appearance and it goes away when she sleeps. Benadryl helps while she's awake. Amy idea what I'm dealing with?
