Need Help

For about 6 months now my husband has been getting several small red bumps on his scalp.  He scratches them until they bleed.  At first we thought that they may be flea bites or something like that.  This keeps continuing.  I was wondering if there were a shampoo or something that he could use, or if you have any suggestions on what this may be.
Thanks so much

Donna:

Bumps like the ones you describe are not dandruff and don't respond to dandruff shampoos.  I would go to the drugstore and get 1)pramoxine lotion or gel--apply as needed whenever it tiches, so he won't scratch and 2) hydrocortisone 1% cream or lotion--apply twice a day.  (Both products are over-the-counter.)  These should help the spots heal and nip new ones in the bud.  If this doesn't help, see a dermatologist, but give it a week or 2.

Best.

My boyfriend in the Philippines has been experiencing redness on his scalp and big dandruffs its like covering his whole head sometimes theres even this size of a quarter he said it doesnt itch a lot but it never went away theres always redness and dandruff in his head ever since we started dating he already had that problem he had it for almost 8 years now and we went to a lot of Doctors down there but they only prescribed anti itch medications which it didnt help at all. We even tried to changed shampoos and tried different ways to stop the redness and dandruff but we do not have any luck until this time...
I was wondering if there is a cure for this or some suggestions that might help?
