I have had red burning dry spots on cheeks. This happend since i have bee staying at a friends house whoes father has a jewlrey work shop in the house. He uses  toxic chemicals with out airing out the house. I have been to 3 skin doctors whoe told me that the work shop wasnt the cause. One doctor lasered the redness and made it worse. Since i have been staying at my friends I have had the cheek redness with scalling and pimple like bumps on it as well as burning sore lips. Cheeks resemble sun burn and is spreading.

To: mego756,
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it sounds like irritant contact dermatitis. Irritant dermatitis, the most common type of contact dermatitis, involves inflammation resulting from contact with acids, alkaline materials such as soaps and detergents, cosmetics, or other chemicals.

Avoid using any lotions and creams over the face for the meantime. Wash your face with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat your face dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like Dermacort.

If the irritation persists then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist. Other possibilities of perioral dermatitis and rosacea have to be ruled out.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep us posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
