Need some advice

by littlebitworried, Aug 27, 2007 05:47PM
23 year old been in a 2 year faithful relationship
tested for all stds except herpes
about 3 years ago i was in an 8 month relationship with of guy who i lived with from the start(had unprotected sex).  During that time he found out that a girl that he had sex with more than once sometimes with a condom and sometimes without, has herpes (might have been on med.) he never showed any signs of herpes rashes, cuts, pimple, etc. also told me never had anything going on.  After going through website after website i am feaked out that i might have it and just don't know it (3 years later) ..I have never had a cold sore and i have severe psoriasis (just some extra info.).  It is possible for me to have it?  What are the statistics of people who have signs of herpes years later? I look at myself constantly...never had a chronic yeast infection, cuts, insects bites, sore etc.
Please help ...my whole family thinks i have a prob.

It sounds as though you're more than just a little bit worried, but it also doesn't sound as though you really should be.  It sounds to me as though the chances that you contracted herpes were slim indeed.  Since you're as anxious as you sound, I advice you to get in touch with your wn doctor and get a herpes 2 blood test.  Once you find that's negative, you can relax and get on with your life.  And please--no more internet research.  Just get tested and move on.

Take care.
