New black mole

Hello!
I am 28 and I ve recently noticed very new small black spot on my leg. Within a week that spot grew into a mole that lies on one red line (looks like irritation but it always stays like that). Being frightened of nodular melanoma possibility, I went to dermatologist who checked all moles on my body saying that all is ok. That new mole really doesn t look good to me when comparing to the pictures and story about nodular melanoma (from nowhere, black, quick growing, firm, like a pinhead or maybe little irregulate shaped, redness around) but the doctor says that it is all right.
Should I see another specialist or am I overdramatizing?
